It's a big question isn't it? But a good one. Thanks for being open and candid!

I certainly can't know for sure. It's all pretty vast to even take in, let alone explain. But I do find natural selection to be a plausible explanastion. How time and space got here, where "here" even is, and how life got started is all anyone's guess, but once it started, natural selection and time explains it well and has proven to be solid ground on which to build an understanding of human psychology. I find that the psychology that naturally gets built on it fits my experience and what I observe. Ultimately, my concern is always what to do next.

I enjoy the mystical quality of it all and tend to agree that the broad workings of evolution can be a result of even larger forces we don't see. It's possible we even agree. How "random" it is has always felt hard to grasp. Life must at least operate with certain propensities in the handling of dna.
